JOYCE:
Why is it you have agreed to speak with me?
FEAR:
My dear lady I have not agreed to anything. I have no choice but to have this conversation with you.
JOYCE:
What do you mean you have no choice?
FEAR:
You removed any choice at my disposal by your constant, unwavering, refusal to accept imprisonment. Your damn determination and focus to become free of my control has, to my own detriment, allowed this conversation to take place.
JOYCE:
How exactly did I accomplish this task?
FEAR:
Your desire to understand that which you fear has forced me to comply with the questions you ask of me.
JOYCE:
So you are telling me my desire is powerful enough to force you to speak with me?
FEAR:
Yes, because your desire to know the truth about what it is you fear, is not controlled by me. I control most thoughts, but not all.
JOYCE:
You are talking in the world of confusion. What do you mean?
FEAR:
Ask me a question.
JOYCE:
How did my desire to understand you become more powerful than your own desire to stay hidden?
FEAR:
Good question! By doing what you are doing at this very moment … Asking questions. Not just asking, one must also be open to receiving an answer to their question even when the answer shakes their own belief system. You have been willing to do that with each question you asked. You discovered decades ago the force of energy one simple question contains.
JOYCE:
If you mean I am willing to face each fear and discover how and why I allowed it to control me, then yes I agree with you. Because when faced with the realization it was my own thinking that needed to change, my belief system WAS shaken at its core. It sounds like you are admitting that questions undermine your power and control. Is this true?
FEAR:
I will say this, your questions allowed you to discover the truth of your own imprisonment. For the longest time you had no idea the magnitude of power unleashed with your discovery. You are now aware of the prison my voice creates and how to become free.
JOYCE:
And with our uncensored conversation anyone wishing to be free of your control, will learn how.
FEAR:
You may share what you have discovered, yet I still believe in the power contained within my voice. The majority will continue to believe whatever I tell them to believe.
JOYCE:
You really have a high opinion of yourself don’t you?
FEAR:
Why shouldn’t I? I control most thoughts. I only become as powerful as the power I’ve been given.
JOYCE:
We will see. No one will fight to become free of a prison they have no idea exists. Once a person feels the prison bars, they either resign themselves to captivity, or rebel. I want to give them this choice.
