JOYCE:
You mentioned before you have many tentacles. Explain what they are made of.
FEAR:
Each tentacle is made up of a fear…each fear you refuse to question that is.
You believe you will fail…gotcha
You believe you are not worthy…gotcha
You believe you will be criticized…gotcha
You believe you will be shamed…gotcha
I have many more tentacles…because you have sooo many fears.
JOYCE:
Some people might say you are wrong…that they do not have fears.
FEAR:
Deep inside lives these fears of yours. They surface when my opposition has spoken. This is why I have much more control over you than my opposition does. Your Spirit’s voice, the one that opposes me, asks of you to face what you fear. You want to know why? Have you asked this question? I doubt it. I will give you the answer…it’s because your fears, the ones I exploit and embellish are the very obstacles that separate you from your own spirit. This is why Spirit wants you to question what you fear…so the split between you will lesson. Lucky for me most people don’t understand how controlled by me they truly are.
JOYCE:
How do these fears create the division between ourselves and Spirit?
FEAR:
These very fears of failure, doubt, lack of self-worth, shame, etc. become lead bars imprisoning the very voice you say you wish to connect with. These fears distort and/or silence Spirits voice.
JOYCE:
Yet Spirit continues to give us guidance.
FEAR:
Yes, your Spirit is alive and well in the prison you have helped me create. The prison bars of fear are reinforced each time I speak and you listen. My opposition speaks to you from this prison asking of you to become what you were meant to be. Asking of you to face what it is you fear. To take the risk and stand up for who you really are.
Yeah…I hear my opposition speak, giving each of you advice, love, and support and still you listen to me. No wonder I’ve grown so arrogant, you created my power and you continue to feed me by believing in my voice.
