JOYCE:
Lets discuss the sticky paper.
FEAR:
If we must. What is it you would like to know?
JOYCE:
Explain the difference between a life with both feet stuck, one foot stuck, or completely free.
FEAR:
I’ll say this…a person with both feet stuck hears only one point of view…mine.
JOYCE:
A person with only one foot stuck is able to hear different points of view?
FEAR:
Yes that is true. The difficulty one faces while one foot is still stuck is…my voice still effects them. They are aware of two different voices…mine and spirits, yet they waste a lot of their resources and time still trying to convince the many with both feet still adhered, that there is another point of view other than their own.
JOYCE:
What is wrong with trying to set someone free of your thinking?
FEAR:
Nothing…on the surface it seems right and true to help someone to become free. but…trying to convince them that what they think is false is futile. Their only hope of becoming free of me is for their own thinking to betray them. In other words…they are shown proof that what they believe is a lie.
JOYCE:
And when they are given this proof do they then become free of you?
FEAR:
I’m pleased to answer…no.
JOYCE:
Why not? You said they will become free when their own thinking betrays them.. And if they are shown that what they thought was wrong, then why are they not free of you?
FEAR:
You seem to forget…most people refuse to admit when wrong. And this keeps them attached to the sticky paper with both feet.
Believe in me and I control you completely.
JOYCE:
So even though we are shown that our thinking is a lie we still believe the lie?
FEAR:
How right you are. It’s a win win situation for me. Their own thinking betrayed them…yet they refuse to see it. If they do admit to themselves that they believed a lie then one foot is freed.
JOYCE:
What is life like with only one foot attached?
FEAR:
They begin to see the truth of how anyone who offers a different point of view… is viciously attacked.
A person still partially imprisoned by me is in the worst of all predicaments. They are aware enough to know that to think like me imprisons them…yet are still attached enough to still be effected by the many totally stuck. So they stay quiet…fearful of the merciless attacks they see others enduring when they offered another point of view.
JOYCE:
This sound hopeless.
FEAR:
It is not. What is needed to face the attack from my soldiers is to remove both feet from the sticky paper.
JOYCE:
How does a person accomplish this?
FEAR:
With one foot still stuck a person is continuing to go outside of themselves for self-worth and self-esteem. One needs to stop turning towards the people still totally stuck, to get any sort of validation.
JOYCE:
So freedom from your control of thought and freedom from the fear of being verbally attacked, is accomplished when we find self-worth and self-esteem from our own thoughts not yours.
FEAR:
You speak truth.
JOYCE:
When completely free we no longer try to convince anyone who has both feet stuck, of anything. We understand they do not have the ability to hear another point of view other than their own. Now we begin to share our point of view without the fear of verbal attack. The attacks might still come, but they will no longer keep us quiet. Freedom from you is freedom for our own thoughts to protect us.
When completely free we are aware enough to realize the attack we encounter is motivated from fear not truth or at least a distortion of a truth.
FEAR:
This is why I control most…a fear based point of view is very difficult to let go of. Unless of course one questions the validity of what they believe. No worries for me…Rarely…I mean Rarely does this happen.
JOYCE:
People just might surprise you!
