JOYCE:
I want you to describe in detail how our need to stay safe creates this war you talk about.
FEAR:
Imagine the sticky fly paper that entraps a fly.
JOYCE:
What does fly paper have to do with the war?
FEAR:
The sticky substance this paper is made up of is my voice. The moment a person becomes fearful a choice is presented to them, and this choice is what creates the war. Will they listen to my voice and become imprisoned – stuck to my way of thinking – or will they choose to listen to spirit? The overwhelming need to stay safe make most choose to listen to me.
JOYCE:
Why would anyone listen to your voice over spirit?
FEAR:
Because they already have one foot stuck to the sticky paper.
JOYCE:
Why is that?
FEAR:
They have been listening to my voice for most of their life. Listening to me keeps them stuck (imprisoned) by believing most of what I tell them to believe. The more they listen to my voice the tighter hold I have. The instant they become fearful of some outside force, their need to be safe from that fear creates the choice…which voice will they listen to. With one foot firmly planted to my way of thinking, spirit has all but lost access to their ear.
Eventually both feet become stuck, now they are not even aware of the choice being presented to them. If humanity only hears my voice, not the one who opposes me, what choice does anyone really have?
The larger the threat faced, their need for safety from that threat intensifies. That is how my ability to embellish a persons fears takes away the inherent ability of choice one is given at birth.
My true power resides in convincing one to never question what I speak. This keeps them firmly attached to the sticky paper of my voice. Without questions a choice is never seen.
JOYCE:
How do you convince anyone to not question what you tell them to believe?
FEAR:
I have an advantage, because they are already stuck to my way of thinking. They believe it is my voice that will keep them safe. They are wrong but they listen anyways.
JOYCE:
What happens when a person begins to question your voice? Some must do that from time to time.
FEAR:
That is the beauty of my stickiness, the more people stuck to my way of thinking, the more powerful I become. The moment one person pulls away from my voice by questioning what it is I tell them to believe, the rest that are still stuck, now become my agent. At this point all I need to do is sit back and watch the many still attached to my way of thinking, attack the few who have begun to question me.
Devious aren’t I!
JOYCE:
Yes you are! Aren’t you worried of losing the power you so enjoy now, when the truth that there is another point of view other than yours is exposed?
FEAR:
Not at all! Most hate to be wrong and to admit they have been listening to the wrong voice … that is not going go to happen. Also anyone with both feet planted firmly upon my stickiness has lost the awareness that another voice even exists. There is no longer another point of view which in turn gives them the advantage of always being right. There is no argument. There is no discussion to be had.
They become one of my soldiers. Attacking anyone who begins to question the validity of my direction.
I just sit back and watch, while my point of view is vehemently defended.
JOYCE:
You make it sound like once stuck to your way of thinking there is no hope of escape. Is there?
FEAR:
Yes, but few will escape my grasp.
JOYCE:
Why is that?
FEAR:
Like I’ve said, most do not want to be wrong. But what is to my advantage big time, is what anyone who starts to question my voice is faced with. Remember, the many who refuse to question what I tell them become my warriors, attacking whomever questions me.
Hey I have a joke for you.
I did not realize Fear had a sense of humor.
What can I say irony makes me chuckle. So here’s my joke…
Two bugs are stuck on fly paper. What does the first bug say to the second bug?
“Thanks for the death sentence.”
The second bug says “Honest to God bro I thought it was dog shit.”
Get it? They thought it was food…and got stuck forever!
Yeah…I get it

Trapped! Such a sticky and scary place. Looking forward to hearing how you freed yourself and the questions you asked to fly to new places.
